About Afrika Tikkun
We are not just a business. We are a people. We are a community.
Afrika Tikkun (AT) is not just a business. We are a people. We are a community. We are a movement for change and transformation. Our leadership spans 29 years and pivots on the deep-seated values of our founders: the late Chief Rabbi Cyril Harris and the late Philanthropist/Businessman Dr Bertie Lubner. Our founders entrenched the values of placing heart, soul and community upliftment at the centre of every initiative we engineer.
We are recognised both locally and internationally for our commitment to the holistic development of young lives in impoverished communities. We are an organisation that prides itself on being partnership-focused and working alongside local and global organisations, to build sustainable socio-economic solutions for South African youth. In essence, our ethos is to incubate, invest and inspire, which is achieved through the various arms of our Afrika Tikkun (AT) family.
The Afrika Tikkun Group comprises (1) Afrika Tikkun Foundation (ATF), the non-profit Child and Youth Development entity, (2) Afrika Tikkun Services (ATS) Pty Ltd, the recruitment and skills training entity, that provides older youth access to work experience opportunities and (3) Afrika Tikkun Investments (ATI) which through its investments, seeks to secure employment for AT graduates.
The organisation generates its own revenue streams from private equity investments through Afrika Tikkun Investments (ATI), an endowment Trust, as well as through profits generated by Afrika Tikkun Services (ATS) (Pty) Ltd, an enterprise business. Overall Afrika Tikkun Services (ATS) provides job skills training, work experience and job placement opportunities. In addition, ATS supports clients through the B-BBEE compliance process, from aligning scorecards to achieving tangible social and economic impact. The solutions we provide ensure that our clients achieve results that are in their best interest. Moreover, the proceeds generated by ATS assist in ensuring the long-term sustainability of Afrika Tikkun.
Benefits of Partnering With Us
There are numerous benefits to partnering with us. You will be a recognised partner of Afrika Tikkun, one of only four organisations worldwide in which Nelson Mandela is a Patron (in Memoriam).

Partners enjoy reductions in their tax obligations through the issuance of a tax-deductible certificate and can improve their B-BBEE rating by gaining B-BBEE points from a Socio-Economic Development (SED) perspective. In addition, there exists the possibility to participate in structured empowerment deals through our associated companies.
