Ignite Programme
(Ages 7-18)
Fuel for Brighter Futures
In South Africa, access to quality education remains unequal, often disadvantaging children from underserved communities. Afrika Tikkun's Ignite Programme bridges this gap by providing tailored academic support, holistic youth development, and essential life skills.
By addressing both academic and social-emotional needs, Ignite not only improves educational outcomes but fosters long-term youth empowerment, equipping young individuals to excel beyond the classroom.

What is the Ignite Programme?
The Ignite Programme is a dynamic after-school initiative aimed at supporting learners from Quintile 1–3 schools in South Africa. Through personalised academic support and diverse enrichment activities, the programme ensures every learner receives the resources and guidance needed for academic and personal success. Serving approximately 3,500 young people annually from Grades 1–12 across 208 feeder schools, Ignite is transforming futures by unlocking each child's potential.
Personalised Academic Support
Customised remedial programmes based on psychoeducational assessments help learners overcome academic challenges and succeed.
Holistic Youth Development
Ignite goes beyond academics to include digital literacy, sports, creative arts, health, fitness, and mental wellness activities.
Innovative Learning Methods
Competitions, project-based learning, campaigns, experiential learning, and sports keep education engaging and effective.
Inclusive and Accessible
The programme actively accommodates learners with disabilities and diverse learning needs, ensuring equal opportunities for all children.
